Open-frame 225 W power supply

19 November 2014 Power Electronics / Power Management

XP Power’s ECP225-A range, an evolution of the already released ECP225, can supply up to 225 W from its 76,2 x 127,0 x 25,4 mm frame and comes with an extra 5 V / 2 A standby output. It is safety approved to UL / IEC / EN 60950-1 requirements for IT applications and the latest (3rd edition) medical standards that include ANSI/AAMI ES 60601-1 and IEC / EN 60601-1.

All models have efficiency of up to 94% and a no-load input power rating of <0,5 Watts. Five single-output models are available with 12, 15, 24, 28 or 48 V d.c. and are user adjustable by ±5%. An additional 12 V / 0,5 A fan supply output is standard on all models.

Full output power requires only 10 CFM airflow or the power supply can be convection cooled and provide up to 150 W output. An extended operating temperature range of -20°C to +70°C is possible with derating above 50°C. Emissions comply with EN55011/EN55022 Class B limits for conducted noise and Class A for radiated EMI.
