M/A-COM Technology Solutions unveiled a new three-stage, low-noise amplifier (LNA) for point-to-point applications. The MAAL-011111 covers 22 to 38 GHz in a 3 x 3 mm QFN package, offering 19 dB of gain and a noise figure below 3 dB. The device is self-biased, requiring only a single 3,3 V supply and no external components. Its performance figures make it well suited as a first-stage LNA in receiver applications covering multiple bands simultaneously. It has integrated ESD protection and bypass capacitors.
