Power modules mount on PCB vertically and horizontally

4 June 2014 Power Electronics / Power Management

The primary switched PMAS5-S and PMAS-L families from MTM Power have been designed as compact universal power supplies with wide AC (90 – 264 V) and DC (100 – 353 V) input ranges for worldwide application. They offer constant 5 W output power and are available with the single output voltages of 3,3; 5; 12; 15 and 24 V d.c.

The devices are short circuit protected, require no ground load and feature reduced standby power consumption. With dimensions of 42,0 x 30,1 x 18,2 mm and thanks to vertical mounting, the PMAS5-S series are space-saving, as are the horizontal mounting models (PMAS5-L) at 42,6 x 32,6 x 17,0 mm. The modules are characterised by a compact and rugged design.

The power supplies are designed for PCB mounting and are vacuum encapsulated. They are prepared for applications in Class 1 and/or 2 and comply with the Low Voltage Directive as well as the up-to-date EN standards as regards CE conformity. Furthermore the modules are VDE as well as UL/cUL approved.
