Low-EMI clock oscillators

14 November 2012 Analogue, Mixed Signal, LSI

Mercury Electronics has launched new low-EMI clock oscillators in a small package with 5 x 3 mm footprint. The 3HM53R models are used extensively in aircraft seatback audio systems and medical equipment where EMI approval testing is an essential part of the qualification requirements.

According to the manufacturer, an improvement of more than 12 dBc EMI emission is possible with these oscillators, making them an ideal solution in products that fail emissions testing. The low-EMI oscillators can be dropped in on the same board layout for an instant solution with no need for an expensive redesign.

Mercury also offers a broad range of SMD crystals, filters, clock oscillators, LVDS/LVPECL oscillators, low EMI oscillators, VCXOs, TCXOs and OCXOs.
