Circular plastic connectors

31 March 2021 Interconnection

Designers can explore new opportunities with TE Connectivity’s Circular Plastic Connectors (CPC).

These rugged, cost-effective and reliable connectors can be used in a wide range of applications that require signal and/or power. They have a 7,5 A to 60 A current rating, depending on the series type, wire gauge and contact selection. Power, signal or hybrid configurations are available.

Mechanically they feature quick connect/disconnect capability with thread assist and positive detent coupling, built-in pin and socket protection, and are polarised for proper mating of connector halves. The connectors come in lightweight, all-plastic and metal-shell formats, and are UL 94V-0 rated and made of stabilised, high strength, heat resistant, self-extinguishing material, together with UL F1 rating for UV resistance in outdoor applications.

The circular configuration uses space efficiently, creating an enhanced design with various mounting options. These circular plastic connectors provide solutions for a wide range of applications including industrial machinery, factory automation, material handling equipment, rail/transit vehicles and systems, medical instrumentation and equipment, communications equipment, networking, data storage, computers, HVAC, commercial and building equipment, lighting and signage, and motor vehicles (auto/bus/truck; off-road and recreational vehicles; agricultural machinery; construction equipment).
