LeCroy Corporation in the United States has appointed Comtest as its sole distributor in southern Africa, effective immediately. Established by Mr LeCroy in 1964, LeCroy is a leading provider of oscilloscopes, protocol analysers and related test and measurement solutions that enable companies across a wide range of industries to design and test electronic devices of all types.
Francesco Raimondi, the distribution sales manager for the Europe, Middle East and Africa market, was in South Africa recently for the countrywide launch of LeCroy. Raimondi expressed his confidence that Comtest was the right partner to develop the LeCroy brand in Africa. “Comtest has the right mix of technical expertise, service capability and experience to develop the market and, together with its large installed dealer base throughout southern and South Africa, to establish LeCroy as a leading contender in the test and measurement field.”

“We are keen to promote LeCroy’s products and with the combination of Comtest’s Ravi Lachman, a specialist in the field, heading up the team, together with our active and successful dealer base offering high quality products at affordable prices, we are confident that LeCroy will do well in our region,” says Verwer.
Raimondi and Lachman held product launches and training countrywide and also demonstrated LeCroy equipment to several Comtest customers. End users of the range include manufacturers, the electronics industry, computer manufacturers, the automotive industry, as well as research and education institutions.
