Hitachi's family of 3,6" 1/4 VGA colour STN LCD modules includes the transmissive SX09Q002, which provides optimum optical performance in low ambient light environments, and the transflective SC09Q002, a sunlight readable display suitable for use outdoors. The 320 x 240 LCD modules are capable of displaying up to 4096 colours and are suited for handheld and portable applications.
The SC09/SX09 displays use a bent TCP (tape carrier package) construction that provides a compact and lightweight module, weighing only 57 g. The displays require a single 3,3 V power supply and feature an integrated DC-DC converter. In reflective mode, without backlight, the SC09Q002 consumes 13 mW.
Both modules are mechanically and electrically compatible and are available with a high brightness CFL backlight. The SC09Q002 can also come with a low power white LED backlight. All SC09 and SX09 modules are available with a touchscreen option.
