The Weller WSTA-6 gas-powered solder iron functions as a soldering iron and hot-air tool. It is self-igniting and offers variable temperature, making it useful when no convenient source of electricity is available. The product comes supplied with a 0,5 mm tapered tip as well as a hot blow nozzle.
The product features a finger switch for ignition, so that no spark lighter is required. The temperature control provides adjustment equivalent to 15 to 60 W, and a knurl release enables switching from soldering to hot air in seconds. The butane gas refill nozzle refills in 20 seconds, and the handle can hold approximately 1 hour of butane gas reserve.
