The 17 November 2004 issue of Dataweek featured Aztec's theft-proof battery rack for the secure housing of front terminal telecom batteries. So successful was this product that six variations of the initial design have been produced to date. The racks are designed to securely contain between 12 and 24, 170 Ah front terminal sealed lead-acid telecom batteries.
In order to simplify the manufacturing process, Aztec's designers have modified the structure of the rack without lessening its structural integrity. These lockable, heavy duty, floor-standing, secure battery racks remain virtually impossible to break into. They are manufactured from steel and encompass a removable door with case-hardened locking pins. The heavy duty door locks are internally-housed and are surrounded by steel, making them only barely accessible and thus immune to bolt cutters and other such tools.
