The theft of standby batteries costs companies enormous amounts of money. Some of the worst-affected companies are those in the telecoms industry as their equipment is often required to operate outdoors and in remote locations.

Realising the need for battery security, Aztec Electronics developed a heavy duty, floor-standing, secure battery rack that is lockable and virtually impossible to break into. The rack is manufactured from steel and has a removable door with case-hardened locking pins. The heavy duty door locks are internally-housed and are surrounded by steel, making them only barely accessible and thus immune to bolt cutters and other such tools.
