Global Top has announced the release of a new GPS module – the FGPMMOPA6B – that is a compact (16 x 16 mm), single-chip, complete solution. The GPS module engine board has a finely tuned, high-sensitivity patch-on-top (POT) ceramic antenna utilising SmartAntenna structure. The module is targeted at those who want to incorporate GPS receiver functions into their own design without worrying about RF noise interference or any additional antenna fine tuning adjustment.

Because of its high sensitivity, the FGPMMOPA6B is able to excel in tracking performances under urban landscapes or other environments where GPS signals can be difficult to acquire.
