VCO for S-band

24 June 2009
New from Z-Communications is an RoHS compliant VCO (voltage-controlled oscillator) in S-band – the CRO2781A-LF – which operates at 2780 MHz with a tuning voltage range of 0,5-4,5 V d.c. It features a typical phase noise of -115 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz offset and a typical tuning sensitivity of 9 MHz/V.

The CRO2781A-LF is designed to deliver a typical output power of 7,5 dBm at 5 V d.c. supply while drawing 19 mA over the temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. This VCO features typical second harmonic suppression of -18 dBc and comes in Z-Comm’s MINI-16 package measuring 12,7 x 12,7 x 5,6 mm. It is available in tape and reel packaging for production requirements and is suitable for automated surface mount assembly and reflow.

The CRO2781A-LF is well suited for microwave radio and satellite communication applications that require ultra-low phase noise performance.
