Vishay has released a new thick film resistor that combines low resistance with tight tolerances and low TCR for current-sensing applications.
To provide high stability for current sensing and shunt applications in DC-DC converters, power supplies, motor circuits, computers and cellphones, the CRCW....-EL thick film power resistor offers a resistance range from 10 mΩ to 100 mΩ, with tight tolerances of ±1% and ±5%.
The device is offered in three case sizes: the 0,1 W 0603, the 0,125 W 0805, and the 0,25 W 1206. The resistor features low TCR of ±100 ppm/K, ±200 ppm/K, ±300 ppm/K, ±400 ppm/K, and ±600 ppm/K over an operating temperature range of -55°C to +155°C.
The CRCW....-EL features a special metal glaze on high-quality ceramic with a protective overglaze. The RoHS-compliant resistor offers lead (Pb)-free solder contacts on a nickel barrier layer, with pure tin plating providing compatibility with both lead-free and lead-containing soldering processes.
