Award-winning voice-over-WLAN analysis tool now available locally

12 July 2006 Test & Measurement

AirMagnet has launched Vo-Fi Analyser, a new, dedicated voice-over-wireless-LAN (VoWLAN) analysis tool. According to Daniel Coetzee, Telecom sales engineer at Concilium Technologies, the sole authorised local distributor for AirMagnet, the Vo-Fi Analyser provides the industry's most comprehensive tool for VoWLAN performance analysis and problem resolution. The new product has also been named one of three finalists for the 2006 Best of Interop award in the VOIP and collaboration category.

VoWLAN requires a very reliable, predictable network and is far more susceptible than regular data traffic to issues such as irregular packet delivery (jitter) and packet loss, than data traffic. VoWLAN problems can be caused by a number of different sources, including the handset, wired or wireless network, QoS settings or call manager.

"AirMagnet's Vo-Fi Analyser detects voice problems at the source and determines their origin. By monitoring everything that affects the VoWLAN experience and providing response strategies for swift problem resolution, the AirMagnet Vo-Fi Analyser is the most complete tool available for wireless voice analysis," says Coetzee.
