Open AT software development kit now 'Eclipse Ready'

5 September 2007 Telecoms, Datacoms, Wireless, IoT

Wavecom's Open AT Software Suite integrated development environment (IDE) tools are now designed to be 'Eclipse Ready', using tools from the popular open-source development community. Future application developments can be done with Wavecom's Open AT SDK (Software Development Kit) taking advantage of the Eclipse community.

Wavecom says that this access to the Eclipse community will be available to developers free of charge, without licence fees, NRE (non recurring engineering) costs or any additional fees for developer seats.

Wavecom's PC-based development tools used for creating native-embedded ANSI C applications now integrate into Eclipse. Developers who need to combine wireless capabilities provided by Wavecom with specific application software can build programs and debug more easily using Eclipse project for 'C/C++ Development Tool (CDT)'. Eclipse projects also provide tools to support the developers through the entire application lifecycle - from design and development to testing and debugging all the way to product launch.

The new SDK on Eclipse is available for download by registered customers from Wavecom.
