The size of Centurion MicroElectronics' computer board, the Wafer-3821, is similar to that of a stiffy drive. It runs at 25, 33 or 40 MHz (jumper-selectable) and is available with 2, 4 or 8 Mb of DRAM. All the other standard interfaces IDE, LPT, COM etc are also available and a NE2000-compatible 10 Mbps Ethernet port is provided. Additional PC104 cards such as a PC104 VGA card can be added to the PC104 connector. Program storage is provided for by the on-board DOC socket, which can accept up to 288 MB disk-on-chip. An optional boot ROM can be added to allow booting from the Ethernet port for thin-client applications. In typical use the system will run MSDOS, FreeDOS or Linux from an 8 or 16 Mb DOC and no permanent display would be fitted.
