One of Simcom Wireless Solutions’ 3G solutions, namely the SIM5215, was recently lauded as the ‘The best low-bandwidth 3G module’ in the 2009 Embedded Mobile Module Competition organised by GSMA (the GSM Association). The panel of judges was composed of many global mobile network operators, including AT&T, KT, O2,, TIM and Vodafone.
The award-winning SIM5215 is a cost-effective industrial WCDMA/GSM wireless module, which has a compact design with rich interfaces, and is operable in extended temperature ranges. The module is widely used in M2M (machine to machine) communications, including AMR, POS, automotive and security applications. Its embedded LUA script and TCP/UDP/FTP/HTTP/SMTP/POP3, MM3 capabilities provide flexibility for easy data transfer.
